Making Your Health a Priority

Do you ever struggle to make your health a priority? Too many times we say things like, "I can't .." Then then we proceed with a long list of reasons why we can't do something, including take care of our health. Whether that looks like eating healthy, exercising, or pausing to meditate during the day. This type of speech reflects a mentality problem! We all have 24 hours in one day so how come some people have time while others don't? Is it that they manage their time better? How come some have time but others don't, yet we all have the same amount of time!


It all comes down to PERSPECTIVE! Making your health a priority comes down to YOU prioritizing your health.


I've heard people say that it's more expensive to live healthy. Maybe you say, "I don't have money!" Again, it all comes down to PERSPECTIVE!


When we make comments like this, we are NOT ASSUMING OWNERSHIP OR RESPONSIBILITY to our own health! We are saying, "All these external factors are to blame." That kind of mentality is passive and leaves little room for change.


Until when will your health become a priority? I've seen too many people wait until they run into health issues to care about their health. I've heard people say, "Sooner or later I will die so I'm just going to enjoy life and eat however I want!" But the sad reality is that these people don't realize their pleasure is temporary because sooner or later unhealthy eating WILL CATCH UP TO YOU! Our body is a gift to care for. Without the shell of a body, our spirit will have no place to dwell!
