Caution when using Facial Masks

When using facial masks (whether homemade or store-bought) it is important to be careful to first check for any signs of allergic reaction (such as burning, itching, or skin rash).

Based on your skincare needs and other health factors, it is advised to talk to your physician or dermatologist prior to using new skincare products, especially if you have had allergic reactions in the past or have a medical condition.

If at anytime during your facial mask treatment, you experience any signs of an adverse effect or allergic reaction, you should discontinue use immediately and seek medical help immediately. Report any adverse effects to the distributor or manufacturer immediately or report to the FDA for investigation and product reporting.

At-Home Facial Mask Guidelines

  • Relax & Have fun! (Turn your facial time into a mini spa date if you can, even if it's only 10-15 minutes,. But if you can't, still try to focus on having fun and embrace loving on you, even if it means you are washing dishes with your facial mask on! Consider inviting a friend or joining a facial party to make the experience more special and meaningful. Check out my Events Tab on www.healtogetherministries.com for upcoming facial parties!)

  • Watch your Time! (To avoid adverse effects with your facial mask treatment, don't leave your mask on for TOO LONG! The standard is 5-15 minutes, depending on the type of facial mask treatment you re receiving. If you are interested in an overnight mask, check out my favorite overnight hydrating facial mask by Younique, LLC! Be sure to follow the instructions with your facial mask carefully and watch your time. You may want to consider setting an alarm.)

  • Avoid Mix Products (It is risky to mix products and brands of facial masks because ingredients may have an interaction. It is best to avoid mixing facial skincare products to avoid an allergic reaction or adverse effect.)
